2016 Auraria Stakes Odds and Betting Update

April 21st, 2016

A talented and capacity field of three-year-old fillies has been confirmed in the final field for Saturday’s 2016 Auraria Stakes (1800m) at Morphettville Racecourse; offering punters exceptional value from a betting standpoint and several key opportunities to place a winning wager.

Silent Sedition has returned to racing in good form this time and remains outright $4 favourite in 2016 Auraria Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Silent Sedition has been a strong and consistent performer for Andrew Noblett through her entire racing career so far; posting a commendable two wins and four minors through only seven starts.

Returning to the paddock after placing a commendable fourth in the Group 2 Moonee Valley Fillies’ Classic (1600m), the daughter of War Chant resumed this time for success in the Statewide Conveyancing Maiden (1200m) before repeating the dose in the Listed Bendigo Guineas (1400m) on March 19th.

Having run a close second to Bengal Cat in the Ladbrokes Cash In Handicap (1600m) a fortnight ago, Silent Sedition may require some luck in transit from barrier 13 but has been confirmed to be partnered by notable hoop Craig Williams.

Interestingly figuring as the only other runner currently available at 2016 Auraria Stakes odds of less-than $10, Sailing By is more than worth consideration for a bet at a $4.40 quote.

Sailing By has posted mixed results for Mick Price this time but ran a close second in the Listed Laelia Stakes (1600m) last start and appears as though she will relish 1800m.

Resuming this time for second in the Group 2 Autumn Stakes (1400m), Sailing By was completely luckless in transit in the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) on March 5th and simply failed to fire in the Group 2 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) on March 26th.

Sailing By is drawn ideally in barrier 3 and will have no issue whatsoever in performing to a high standard with only 54kgs in tow.

Cry If I Want To is yet to herald much attention in 2016 Auraria Stakes betting markets but remains sole occupant of the third line at a generous $11 quote.

Cry If I Want To has only appeared on course once competitively, but more than stamped herself as one to watch with a commanding performance for a near-four length win in the Rcasphalt.com.au Maiden Plate (1400m) on April 10th.

Phillip Stokes-trained stable mates Comprende ($13) and Coerced Witness ($51) both represent terrific value at double-figure quotes in Auraria Stakes betting markets.
