On Sunday the best racing action will take place in South Australia when the Allan Scott Park Morphettville hosts the Unley Telstra Shop Super Sunday featuring four elite Group status races.
Aside from the two feature events, the $300,000 Group 1 Goodwood (1200m) and the $300,000 South Australian Derby (2500m), another highly anticipated race will be the $100,000 Group 3 Auraria Stakes (1800m).
This year the 2010 Darley Auraria Stakes has attracted a capacity field of 16 three-year-old fillies who will take to the track in the third race on the eight-event card.
One of the top chances in Sunday’s Auraria Stakes is the Mark Kavanagh-trained Zantelagh who is sure to hit the line hard.
The grey Zabeel filly has had eight career starts and is coming off a solid sixth place finish just two lengths behind the winner Red Colossus in the Listed Chairman’s Stakes (2014m) last start.
Zantelagh has drawn barrier 11 on Sunday and will be ridden by in-form hoop Michael Rodd.
Kavanagh also prepares the odds-on favourite in the Goodwood at the meeting, Catapulted.
Other quality fillies lining up in the 2010 Auraria Stakes include the David Hayes-trained duo of Custard (barrier 10) and Lannaki (barrier 12), last start winner Mistaken Grace (barrier 3), and fourth placegetter in the Group 3 South Australian Oaks (2400m) Legislature (barrier four).
Meanwhile Michael Kent-trained unbeaten filly Hearts And Arrows has drawn the inside alley aiming for her third win from three starts and will again be ridden by big race specialist Glen Boss.
